Missions & Evangelism

So wherever you go, make disciples of all nations:

Matt 28:19 (GW)

Missions and evangelism at Cooper FBC are more than what we “do;” they are what we “are.” Missions and evangelism are the driving forces behind all that we do at Cooper FBC. Our mission statement declares that our first priority is to lead people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. We are then to grow them into passionate followers of Christ. We firmly believe that passionate followers of Christ will launch out into personal ministry and participate actively in missions.

We at Cooper FBC practice three core missional values: praying, giving, and going. All three core values are necessary in order to fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ. Our Lord’s command to go and make disciples of all nations has led the Cooper FBC to develop a global vision for missions and evangelism.

You have an opportunity to be involved in mission opportunities from Cooper, Texas to Songea, Tanzania.

Cooper FBC has adopted the Ingoni people of Tanzania, Africa. You may join our mission team during the summer of 2013 as we travel to Tanzania to continue  an evangelical work begun in 2011 among this unreached people group. We are presently putting a team together to go to Songea in Tanzania during the summer of 2013. We will be showing the highly effective Jesus film, working a children’s ministry, and sharing the gospel as we travel from hut to hut. If interested in going, please contact the church office.

There are other mission opportunities that are available  in our state of Texas as well as locations in the United States. We have ministered from Galveston, Texas to places in Wisconsin. Opportunities in Glendive, Montana will likely be available within the next year where our very own Rick and Pat Perkins will be ministering. If you are interested, please contact the church office.

Many opportunities to serve missionally exist right here in Cooper and Delta County. You may contact the church office to discover mission projects currently underway. We would be glad to share mission opportunities with you.
